Whatzup?

Well, it's another hot day here in my area.  It's suppose to reach 94 degrees today ... yuck!  And if the weatherperson is correct it's suppose to be that hot for the next several days.  So I'm trying to stay inside today and finish up some cards.

I just finished this fur baby this morning.  This is Whatzup Dog! by Crissy's Digi's and you can find him over at the Whimsy Stamps shop.  I think he looks so cute sitting there with that bone in his mouth.  I colored him with copics and colored pencils.  I applied Glossy Accents to his nose and the pads on his feet.  I also finished the inside of the card.

Don't forget that Whimsy is having a 25% off sale on their digi stamps ... but you need to hurry because the sale ends today!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Barry Winter and His Little Friend

It's Friday!  I don't know about you but this week has flown by for me.  We're still experiencing really hot temperatures -- it's been in the mid-90's and the humidity is really high.  But this little scene reminds me that winter really isn't that far off.

This cute image is Barry Winter and he's one of the images in the latest StampFairy release.  I colored these adorable friends with copics and colored pencils.  I added Glamour Dust to the snow, snowman, and the snowflake.  I used white acrylic paint to add the polka dots on Barry's hat and scarf.  I added some Glossy Accents on Barry's nose.  I shaded my background with chalks.

Here's the entire Barry Winter collection and you can find it in the StampFairy shop.  Please stop by the StampFairy Blog to check out the gorgeous work by the DT.

Blog Candy Winner

First of all, I want to thank you for the wonderful birthday wishes you left for me.  I always enjoy reading your sweet comments.  I also want to welcome my new followers.  I hope you find something on my blog that inspires you :)

My one-year blog anniversary is coming up soon and I'm putting together some goodies for another blog candy.  I should have it posted within the next week or so.

I used a much cuter version of random.org to select my winner ...  I used random.Zack.  Zack is my adorable little grandson (who desperately needs a haircut lol!).  He wanted to help pick the winner so we printed off all the comments, cut them apart and put them in a big bowl.  And here he is with the name he drew.

The winner is   ...   Christine aka blankiefinder

Congratulations Christine!  Please contact me at the email in my sidebar so I can get your blog candy on its way!

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to enter.  Hugs, Anita

Ho Ho Ho

** Click here to see my birthday blog candy **

Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas to all of you!  OK, if you're thinking I've lost my mind ... you're wrong.  (Well, actually you're not wrong but that's a story for another day!)  Over at the Pollycraft Monday Challenge Blog, it's Christmas in July!  That's right ... our lovely leader, Paula, has chosen Christmas as our theme this week.

I used "All The Trimmings" from the Swings and Slides - Deck the Halls collection.  You can find this adorable image at the Pollycraft shop.  I colored this beautiful little girl with copics and colored pencils.  I used Glamour Dust on her dress, hat, the ornament, and the snowflakes.  I used a tiny bit of Glossy Accents on the berries in her hair.  I added two tiny pearls to her dress and some larger pearls in the middle of the snowflakes.  Well, these aren't your traditional Christmas colors but I had this Basic Grey paper (that I've been hoarding) and I decided it was time to use it.

Now please stop by the Pollycraft Monday Challenge Blog to check out the gorgeous work by the DT.  While you're there you can get all the details to enter our challenge.  I hope you join in our challenge this week as the prize is Pollycraft digis!  The winner will win a gift voucher from Crafty Emma's Store.

Summer Snowman

** Click here to see my birthday blog candy **

Hello friends.  It has been unbearably hot here ... in the low to mid-90's and the humidity is stifling.  I know I shouldn't complain because when this winter rolls around I'll be wishing for warm weather lol!  So I thought maybe I'd color something that might make me forget about the heat :)

This cute snowman is Summer Snowman by Meljen's Designs.  You can find this cool dude over at Whimsy Stamps.  I used my colored pencils to color this image.  Since this snowman doesn't require a lot of coloring, this card was fast and easy.  I added Glamour Dust to the snowman and melting snow.  Then I used Glossy Accents on the sunglasses and snow puddle.  I wrapped some twine around my card, added a button, and it was done!

Please be sure to stop by the Meljen's Designs Challenges and Inspiration Blog to see the inspiring projects by the dt.  We also have a new challenge starting today and you can get all the details while you're there.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

My Dear Friend

** Click here to see my birthday blog candy **

Happy Wednesday friends.  I hope you're having a wonderful week.  Like many areas of the states, we're having some really high temperatures.  Our forecast for the next week or so is 90 to 95 degrees ... ugh!  Now, I don't really like cold weather but 90+ is a little too warm lol!  I know, I know, in January I'll be wishing for these warm days, right?  Anyway, on to my card.

This is totally not my normal style of card ... I mean, there's no coloring involved.  But sometimes it's nice to have some cards like this in your stash for those last-minute things that pop up.  I used the Floral Haven Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs.  You can find this set over at the Whimsy Stamps store.  I used my nestabilities to cut out the sentiment.  The papers are by The Girls Paperie ... I'm so in love with these papers and you are probably getting tired of seeing them on my cards, huh?  I wrapped some PTI button twine around my card and tied it into a bow.  I added a few flowers, punched greenery, and pearls to finish my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hello to all of you.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I had a quiet, relaxing weekend.  It was dreadfully hot so I used that as an excuse to stay out of the heat and work on some cards ... trying to work ahead a little bit cause this week is going to be crazy busy.  Well, since it's Monday, we have a new challenge for you over at the Pollycraft Monday Challenge Blog.  It was our lovely Marit's turn to choose a theme and she picked Summer Fun for our theme.
