Let's Hit The Town

Hello friends.  It's Wednesday so that means I have a Simply Sassy card to share today.  I have used Let's Hit The Town, a sassy girl from the newest Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy release.

Isn't she a beautiful girl?  I love the sweet look on her face and her outfit is fabulous ... but look at her shoes!  They so remind me of shoes I wore when I was younger.  And I could actually walk in them without breaking my neck lol.  I colored this sweetie with copics and colored pencils and added some WOC flowers and a sheer ribbon & bow.  The flourish is a new MFT die and the sentiment is from PTI.  I thought this sentiment would be perfect with this image.  You can find this sassy girl and all her friends over at Funky Kits.

Tags and Bookmarks

Hello peeps.  Well, are you ready to start a new week?  I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  We have a new challenge for you over on the Pollycraft Challenge Blog.  Our lovely Arabella has chosen the theme this week and she's asking that we make tags and/or bookmarks.

I have been wanting to make one of these corner bookmarks for the longest time.  I know, I'm probably the last person in blogland to actually make one lol!  It was so easy that I'm kicking myself for not trying one sooner.  This little bookmark is going to my grandson so I decided to use Fluffy from the Critters and Cogs collection.  I know he will love this image!  He's colored with copics and colored pencils and I've added Glossy Accents to his horns, eyes, teeth, and nails.  The border punch is by EK Success and works perfectly with animal images ... or with not-very-scarey monsters :)

Please be sure to stop by the Pollycraft Challenge Blog to see the inspiring work by the other DT ladies, and I hope you play along in our challenge this week.  We are being sponsored by Crimson Cloud so be sure to stop by their shop to see all the fabulous products they carry.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Stamp:  Pollycraft - Critters and Cogs Fluffy

Make Your Own Flowers

Happy Saturday!  We have a new challenge for you over at Di's DigiDesigns Challenge Blog.  For this challenge we are asking that you make your own flowers for your card or project.

I've used the adorable Sweet Scents image.  This is one of Di's newer designs and I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her.  I'm usually more of a dog lover, but who could resist this sweet little kitty?  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and added Glossy Accents to her nose.  I used some stickles on the flower centers and the butterfly.  My flowers are made from felt and were cut using a die.

Be sure to stop by Di's DigiDesigns Challenge Blog to check out the gorgeous work by the rest of the DT.  Our challenge will be open for two weeks so there's plenty of time for you to join us.  We are being sponsored by Joanna Sheen for this challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

A Simply Sassy Sneak Peak

Happy Wedneday friends.  I have a little sneak peak to share with you today.

This sweet girl is called "Love Letters".  I think she's beautiful and she was so much fun to color.  I used my copics and colored pencils to color this image.  I  also tried something new ... instead of making a card, I made a little keepsake box.  I painted a paper mache box with cream acrylic paint and added some pretty Melissa Frances dp and some lace.  I made a little lace rosette and added a flower to the center, and I added some flourishes made with my Memory Box die.  In the other corner I added some WOC mulberry roses, punched leaves, and pearls.

We are having sneak peeks all week over on the Simply Sassy Blog so be sure to pop over and check out the beautiful work by the dt.  Please mark your calendar because we're having a blog hop this Saturday and we'll be showing you all the new Simply Sassy images.  All these images will be available Saturday at Funky Kits

Good morning.  If you follow my blog then you know I love Halloween.  My daughter was born on Halloween and I love everything about it ... the decorations, the trick-or-treaters, and of course the candy!

I have a little Halloween treat bag to share with you today.  I used the Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Witches Cauldron stamp for my treat bag.  Isn't she the prettiest witch you've ever seen?  I love all that hair!  She might be cooking up a batch of love potion brew but she's so cute I don't think she needs it, do you?  I colored this cutie with copics and colored pencils and used just a little Glamour Dust on the heart on her hat and the buttons on her dress.  My paper is the new Doodlebug Design halloween line.  I love their new papers, they're so perfect for Halloween creations.

I'm sure you've seen these little treat bags all over blogland but if you want to know how I made mine, you can stop by the Simply Sassy Blog for the directions.  Fill these up with yummy chocolates and they would make perfect gifts for teachers or your friends.  If you make one please leave me a comment so I can visit your blog and check it out :)

The Wrinklies Blog Hop

Hello everyone.  It's a big day over at the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge Blog.  Kerry has a new release of stamps and we are having a blog hop to celebrate!

OK, so here are the blog hop rules ... yes, I know, we all hate rules but you gotta have a few lol.

1)  Visit each of the DT members in order and leave a comment on each of their blog hop posts

2)  Once you have finished the hop, leave a comment on the challenge blog telling us which is your most favorite of the new images

3)  Display the blog hop banner on your blog, either in a post or on your sidebar

That's it ... easy peasy, huh?  The hop will close at 12 pm midday GMT on Monday, September 12.  The winners will be announced at 9 am GMT on Tuesday, September 13 on the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge Blog.  You should have arrived at my blog from Tams' blog.  If not, please go back and start at Kerry's blog.

I have used the new Grow Old With Me Wrinkley stamp on my card today.  I've colored this sweet couple with copics and colored pencils and paper pieced their chair.  I've added some ribbon and a bow.  The sentiment comes with this stamp, along with two other fabulous sentiments.

Today is my last post as a Ladybug as I have decided to step down from the DT.  This was my very first DT and I want to thank Kerry for giving me the chance to design for her.  You girls have such enormous talent!  We started off as strangers with a love of stamping and have become (I think) a close group of supportive, fabulous friends.  You girls are amazing and I'll still be checking you out in blogland :)

So, the next DT you want to visit on this hop is the lovely Gaelle.  I hope you enjoy the hop and good luck!

Thank you for stopping by.
